In a significant drone assault, Ukraine has reported the neutralization of 80 enemy drones used by the Russian army for attacks since last night. Among the incidents, there were hits from ballistic missiles and 25 enemy strike UAVs. This information was shared by the Ukrainian Armed Forces via Telegram.
Military sources indicate that from 6 PM on Thursday, January 29, the aggressors deployed a ballistic missile Iskander-M and a total of 111 drones of various types, including Shahed, “Gerbera,” and “Italmas.”
The missile was launched from Russia’s Voronezh region, while the drones were launched from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and the temporarily occupied Donetsk.
Approximately 70 enemy targets were identified as Shahed kamikaze drones.
The aerial attack was resisted by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 8 AM on Friday, preliminary reports suggest that the air defense systems have shot down or jammed 80 enemy drones.
There were recorded strikes from ballistic missiles and 25 enemy strike UAVs at 15 locations, with two more sites reporting the downing of drones (debris).
The Air Forces emphasize that the attack continues. Several Russian UAVs have been detected in the skies over Ukraine. Citizens are urged to follow safety protocols.
