Since the onset of the war, Ukraine's medical infrastructure has faced significant destruction, with over 2,500 medical facilities either damaged or destroyed. According to the Ministry of Health, 327 of these have been completely demolished.
The aggressive actions of Russia have led to severe losses in the country's healthcare system.
Official reports indicate that 2,530 facilities belonging to 815 healthcare institutions have been affected.
The hardest-hit areas include Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Zaporizhia, and Luhansk regions.
Despite ongoing attacks, the restoration of medical infrastructure continues: 700 facilities have been fully restored, and 320 are undergoing partial recovery. However, 57 facilities have suffered new damage due to fresh shelling.
The healthcare system persists in delivering services even in high-risk zones: 1,528 facilities are providing full assistance, 186 are operating partially, and 231 have been evacuated to safer locations.
Information regarding medical facilities in temporarily occupied territories remains limited. Since the beginning of the war, 280 emergency medical vehicles have been destroyed, 163 damaged, and 80 captured by the enemy.
