The air defense forces of Ukraine successfully neutralized 38 out of 60 drones launched by Russian forces. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force’s official Telegram channel.
Starting from 7 PM on Sunday, October 19, Russian troops initiated an attack with three "Iskander-M/KN-23" ballistic missiles from temporarily occupied Crimea and launched 60 strike drones of the Shahed type, "Gerbera," and others from various directions, including Milleryovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Chauda (Crimea). About 40 of these were Shahed drones.
The Ukrainian defense forces' aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups actively intercepted the aerial assault.
As of the morning of Monday, October 20, preliminary reports indicate that air defense managed to shoot down 38 drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Impacts from three ballistic missiles and 20 strike UAVs were recorded at 12 different locations. The attack is ongoing, and several hostile drones remain in the airspace.
