Since 10 PM on Sunday, September 7, Russian forces launched an attack using 142 strike drones, including Shahed, "Gerbera", and other types, from directions such as Bryansk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea). More than 100 of these are Shahed drones. The airspace was defended by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces. According to preliminary data as of 8:30 AM on Monday, September 8, air defense had shot down/neutralized 112 enemy drones of the Shahed, "Gerbera", and other types in the north, south, east, and central Ukraine. Hits on 26 strike drones were recorded at seven locations, with debris falling at one site. Several enemy drones remain airborne as the attack continues.
