A group of children has been successfully returned from the temporarily occupied regions of Kherson back to Ukrainian-controlled territory.

This significant announcement was made on Friday, June 13, by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

In total, 11 children were brought back from occupied Kherson.

“Another eleven children from the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson have finally returned to safe areas controlled by Ukraine,” Prokudin stated.

This return was made possible due to the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, titled “Bring Kids Back UA,” and the efforts of the charity organization “Save Ukraine.”

The group consists of 8 girls and 3 boys, who are being raised in nine different families. The youngest child in this group is just four years old, while the oldest is seventeen. There is also one child among them who is orphaned.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the occupying authorities applied significant pressure on these children, forcing them to study according to Russian educational programs and participate in propaganda activities.

Some of the children experienced “visits” from armed members of the Russian FSB and even spent time in so-called “re-education camps.” All of this, Prokudin emphasized, was solely because they are Ukrainians.

Currently, all returned children are safe. They and their families are receiving all necessary medical, psychological, and social support.

Since the beginning of 2025, a total of 67 children have been evacuated from the temporarily occupied areas of Kherson, as reported by the head of the regional administration.
