The second playoff match of the Ukrainian hockey championship saw Kyiv Capitals lose at home to Kremenchuk.
The game concluded with a score of 1:4.
After a scoreless first period, both teams truly engaged in the second 20 minutes. The visitors took the lead following a face-off in the opponent's zone, with Artem Tselogorodtsev scoring against the Kyiv goalkeeper (0:1).
Kyiv Capitals quickly leveled the score. 41-year-old Serhiy Chernenko was first to the rebound of a puck that got stuck on Kremenchuk's crease (1:1).
Midway through the third period, Tselogorodtsev netted his second goal. The 23-year-old forward received the puck in the opponent's zone, advanced toward the goal, and delivered a powerful shot from a tight angle (1:2). A few minutes later, Bohdan Piddubnyi doubled the lead with a long shot that the Kyiv goalkeeper couldn’t see (1:3).
The final score was set by Kremenchuk's goalkeeper Eduard Zakharchenko, who scored into the empty net from his own half.

It’s worth noting that in the first match of the confrontation, the Kyiv team clinched victory by scoring the winning goal in overtime.
