The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has received a new draft of regulations from the Federation of Military Technology Sports and is currently preparing them for approval.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for Digital Transformation Vitaliy Lavrov during a press conference held at the «Ukrinform» news agency.
Vitaliy Lavrov emphasized that the developed regulations clearly outline the requirements and conditions for competitions in disciplines such as FPV drone racing with combat payload and competitions in cyberspace (CTF).
According to the Deputy Minister, the approval of these competition rules will create favorable conditions and enhance the training process in military technology sports, which will also improve the skills of servicemen.
The event was also attended by the president of the Federation of Military Technology Sports of Ukraine, Arthur Buligin, as well as heads of various unions and military representatives, including Lieutenant General Yuri Dumansky.
Participants discussed the significance of officially recognizing military technology sports in Ukraine, its role in military-patriotic education, and perspectives for development in collaboration with unions and government institutions.
Additionally, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Federation of Military Technology Sports of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders, Athletes, and Workers.
Vitaliy Lavrov supported the initiative of signing the memorandum, emphasizing that such cooperation opens new opportunities for involving veterans in military technology sports.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has officially recognized military technology sports as a new non-Olympic sport. The relevant order from the Ministry dated February 24, 2025, No. 1105 includes it in the Register of Recognized Sports.
