On October 12, the Kyiv Marathon of Resilience took place on Trukhaniv Island, featuring the Ukrainian Championship in marathon running for adults and youth. Participants tackled the official marathon distance of 42.195 km. Kyiv has one champion and one prize winner.
The winner among men was Kyiv's Maksym Anenko, completing the distance in 2:21:17. Second place went to Roman Skuridin from Luhansk region (time - 2:23:57), while third place was taken by Dmytro Siruk from Rivne region (time 2:24:28). Maksym was coached by Mykola Nyzhnyk and Oleksiy Pisaryev. Competing on the same distance was Oleksandr Kalachov from Kyiv, who finished eleventh with a time of 2:44:41, alongside two representatives from Kyiv region: Yuriy Kuzinsky (sixth place, time 2:33:37) and Pavlo Zabolotnyi (twelfth place, time 2:57:57).
In the women's competition, Olena Pitirimova from Kyiv took second place, finishing in 3:01:37, while the champion was Ivanna Melnyk from Dnipropetrovsk region, who finished with a time of 2:49:31.
