The men's and women's chess teams of Ukraine have kicked off their participation in the 2025 European Championship. This information was relayed by the press service of the Ukrainian Chess Federation.

In the opening round, the men's team faced Georgia-2. This country is hosting the tournament, which takes place in Batumi.

The Ukrainian women's team drew with Austria. The "Blue and Yellow" were close to victory, but 16-year-old debutant Bozhena Piddubna lost to Emilia Diak-Sala.
