The Kyiv basketball club Budivelnyk is reinstating its women's team.

This was reported by the club's press service.

Budivelnyk will compete in the women's Super League in the 2025/26 season. Team composition details will be announced later.

"We are excited to announce the revival of the Budivelnyk women's team, returning with renewed energy and unwavering ambitions. We are ready to compete for the top honors in Ukrainian women's basketball once again," the statement reads.

The Budivelnyk women's team participated in the Super League during the 2021/22 season, which was prematurely ended due to the onset of a full-scale invasion. That season, the club achieved 20 victories in 24 matches.

It is worth noting that Budivelnyk was excluded from the Super League during the 2023/24 season due to financial difficulties.
