Renting a one-bedroom apartment in the capital takes up 76% of a sales consultant's salary, while a driver's share is 52%.

These figures are provided by a study from LUN and Work.ua.

If a driver wants to rent a two-bedroom apartment, it will cost them over 72% of their monthly earnings, and for a sales consultant, it’s as high as 105%.

Additionally, a driver cannot afford to rent a three-bedroom apartment, as the rental cost exceeds 123% of their salary.

A cleaner in Kyiv cannot even afford a one-bedroom apartment, since their average earnings represent only 112% of the average rental price.

In Lviv, a sales consultant spends even more on renting a one-bedroom apartment – 83% of their salary, while in Odesa, it’s only 41%.

As of January 29, a new mechanism to support internally displaced persons in Ukraine has been implemented – a housing rental subsidy.
