President Volodymyr Zelensky met with soldiers currently undergoing treatment for injuries and the medics who assist them. This was reported by the head of state on his Telegram channel.
«Today, on Defender's Day of Ukraine, I had the honor of meeting our warriors who are in rehabilitation and the medical staff supporting their recovery. I awarded state honors to the defenders – the guys from the Ground Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, the 138th Special Operations Center, and the Air Assault Forces. Thank you for your courage and for protecting our nation», Zelensky noted.
He also expressed gratitude to the combat medics and awarded them for their service.
«They treat the wounded, participate in evacuations, and provide medical assistance in frontline areas. Thank you for your dedication and for doing everything possible to save lives», the President added.
