Olena Zelenska, the First Lady of Ukraine, and Princess Anna, sister of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, recently visited a memorial dedicated to Ukrainian children who fell victim to Russian aggression. The First Lady shared this in her Telegram channel.
“Yesterday, together with Her Royal Highness Princess Anna, the only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, we paid tribute to the memory of children who lost their lives at the hands of Russian invaders,” Olena Zelenska stated.
She emphasized that already 657 children’s lives have been cut short in Ukraine due to Russian aggression. “We remember and mourn every loss. This is an irreplaceable sorrow,” she added.
Olena also reminded that just in the past three days, three children had died.
“Three days ago, Russian soldiers killed 12-year-old Oleksandra in her home during a Kyiv shelling. And yesterday, in the Sumy region, brothers Denys and Yehor were killed along with their pregnant mother as a result of a drone strike,” she shared.
Princess Anna arrived in Ukraine on an unannounced visit, where she met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska.
