The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, announced a contribution of 10 million euros to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine.

This information was revealed during a press conference with Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, Bettel, and Luxembourg's Defense Minister Yuriko Backes, as reported by a correspondent from "European Truth".

On Wednesday, April 30, Bettel and Backes visited Kyiv to meet with the head of Ukraine's foreign affairs ministry, Sybiga.

During the joint press conference, Bettel declared the allocation of 10 million euros for Ukraine's energy support to enhance "long-term energy resilience".

"Funds from the energy fund will address critical needs, including equipment purchases and fuel, as well as modernization of energy infrastructure," noted Sybiga while commenting on the decision.

Additionally, the Luxembourg foreign minister announced a contribution of one million euros to the First Lady Olena Zelenska's fund "to support a project for youth aged 16 to 21 to provide psychological assistance".

"This is a traumatic experience for an entire generation of youth growing up in the realities of war," added Bettel.

It is worth noting that on March 14, the Canadian government allocated an additional 33.4 million euros to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine.

Prior to that, Iceland transferred over 2 million euros to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine.

On March 22, the Netherlands decided to contribute 65 million euros to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine.
