A large-scale project is commencing in the village of Kobolchyn in the Chernivtsi region - the construction of a juice production factory named "Interjuice Bukovyna".
This was announced by the head of the Chernivtsi Regional Council, Oleksiy Boyko.
The factory will be built within an industrial park covering nearly 12 hectares in the Sokyryany community.
The infrastructure will include storage facilities, purification and drying plants, administrative buildings, and access roads. The initiative is coordinated by the campaign "Fruit Industry".
According to Boyko, the new enterprise will be capable of processing up to 1,500 tons of fruit raw materials daily. The main product will be concentrated apple juice, alongside juices made from local berries such as raspberries, cherries, sweet cherries, and plums.
The raw materials are planned to be sourced primarily from farms in the Chernivtsi region and neighboring areas.
In addition to the primary products, the factory will also produce biogas from the fruit processing, which is intended for heating local buildings.
The production launch is scheduled for the end of 2025, with preparatory work currently underway.
The project is expected to create around 150 new jobs.
According to Youcontrol data, the beneficiary of "Interjuice Bukovyna" is Serhiy Tigipko, who is also a beneficiary of LLC "Fruit Industry" along with Alla Zinevych.
