On April 18, two fatal incidents occurred in the Kyiv region as a result of fires caused by the burning of vegetation.

According to the local emergency services, a grass fire broke out in Pereyaslav at 18:14 in the Boryspil district.

During the firefighting efforts, the body of a deceased man was discovered.

Earlier, at 11:00 AM in the village of Mostyshche in the Fastiv district, a fire spread over an area of 5 hectares.

Strong winds caused the fire to quickly spread to three nearby outbuildings, where another victim was found.

As stated by emergency services: "We reiterate: burning dry vegetation is extremely dangerous!

This can lead to large-scale fires, destruction of property, and, most tragically, loss of human lives".
