A new joint investment fund between Ukraine and the USA is set to launch, allowing for investments in resource development and infrastructure projects.

This was announced by Taras Kachka, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Representative of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

"This fund will serve as a significant financial tool, enabling investments in a wide array of projects throughout Ukraine as opportunities arise."

The focus will primarily be on natural resources, but we are also keen on American investments in infrastructure: roads, ports, and energy," Kachka emphasized.

He also noted that the agreement does not compel Ukraine to transfer assets to this fund.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has published the text of the memorandum with the USA regarding the completion of the official agreement on economic partnership and the investment fund for reconstruction.

The next round of negotiations regarding subsoil resources will commence in the USA on April 24, and technical matters and formulations for the future investment fund's operation are currently being worked on.
