Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk highlighted that the Territorial Defense symbolizes the readiness of Ukrainians to defend their land at all times and everywhere.
“Territorial Defense is a symbol of the readiness of Ukrainians to protect their land at any moment. Since the first days of the large-scale invasion by Russia, thousands of men and women in the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces have stood to defend Ukrainian cities and villages, halting the enemy where they attempted to break through, protecting critical infrastructure, and shielding people from attacks,” Stefanchuk noted.
“I thank all those who serve in the ranks of Territorial Defense. Your determination and willingness to stand in defense of your homeland is the strength that makes Ukraine unbreakable. We also honor the memory of fallen soldiers. Today and every day, during the national moment of silence, Ukraine bows its head in memory of each one who gave their life for freedom,” Stefanchuk emphasized.
