American performer Jonathan Lindale Kirk, known as DaBaby, has dedicated a song to Ukrainian refugee Irina Zarutska, who was tragically killed in the United States.

This was reported by The New York Post.

The musical track titled «Save Me» garnered over 280,000 views in less than a day.

The video partially reenacts the scene of the Ukrainian woman's murder but presents an alternate ending. At the last moment, the rapper grabs the criminal's hand, preventing him from carrying out the murder.

The video concludes with a screenshot of the GoFundMe fundraising page. A link to this platform is also included in the description of the video on YouTube.

The GoFundMe page titled «In Memory of Irina» was established by her family. A total of over $434,500 has been raised.

It is noted that the music video was released just a few days after a video of Zarutska in happier times—where she is seen drinking, swimming, playing cards, and spending time with her boyfriend—touched the hearts of many internet users.

As reported by Ukrinform, 23-year-old Irina Zarutska arrived in the USA as a refugee seeking safety. She was murdered in late August on a train at a station in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Law enforcement has identified the killer as 34-year-old homeless man Dekarlos Brown.

According to court documents, Brown had been arrested multiple times since 2011 on charges of theft, armed robbery, and threats.

The U.S. Department of Justice is officially seeking the death penalty for the attacker.
