Ukrainians who missed the chance to use funds for the repair of damaged housing are now permitted to reapply for assistance.
This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, the permanent representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, via Telegram.
Changes have been made to the Procedure for Compensation for the Restoration of Certain Categories of Real Estate Damaged as a Result of Hostilities, Terrorist Acts, and Diversions Caused by the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation through the use of the electronic public service "eRestoration".
According to the changes, compensation recipients are allowed to reapply for compensation or its remaining balance if, due to objective circumstances (as defined by the resolution), they were unable to fully or partially utilize the compensation funds within the established timeframe.
Moreover, regulations have been established regarding the recipient's responsibility for improper use of compensation funds in case such a fact is discovered by the commission reviewing compensation requests.
As previously reported, under the "eRestoration" program, nearly 97 thousand families received assistance for restoring damaged property, while almost 20 thousand families were compensated for purchasing new housing instead of the destroyed.
