Fraudsters are misusing the name of the State Tax Service and its regional representatives to deceitfully solicit funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported on the official website of the Tax Service.

Head of the Tax Service, Ruslan Kravchenko, stated that these claims are false.

“I want to emphasize! This is a scam! The Tax Service is not involved in this distribution. Its goal is to deceive entrepreneurs and discredit the tax service,” Kravchenko wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Tax Service has already prepared a statement to law enforcement regarding these fraudulent activities, he added, urging taxpayers to be cautious.

As reported, on May 28, 2025, the State Tax Service of Ukraine announced the mass distribution of fake emails allegedly coming from its name. Attachments in these emails contained malicious software that activates upon opening the PDF file. Once accessed, the software grants remote access to the scammers.
