Lviv is set to build a groundbreaking support center for cancer patients traveling for treatment. Here, individuals undergoing chemotherapy and other therapies will have access to free accommodation. This was announced by the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi.
The construction will utilize innovative Japanese technology in collaboration with DAIWA House Group. This approach will enable the building to be erected quickly and efficiently, catering to the needs of patients. The city has already signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
Andriy Sadovyi also shared insights from a significant meeting with Hiroshima's mayor, Kazumi Matsui. The parties discussed urban resilience during wartime, rebuilding opportunities, and continued support for Ukraine. The Japanese side is preparing a separate session dedicated to cooperation with Ukrainian communities.
Additionally, an agreement has been reached for a partnership between Hiroshima Nagisa School and Lviv's Budokan. The collaboration will begin with joint online meetings and will include exchanges and internships in the future.
For several months now, a Japan Desk — a specialized office for interactions with Japan — has been operational in Lviv. During this time, nearly one hundred Japanese entrepreneurs have visited the city to explore investment opportunities and consider joint projects.
