Smart Medical Products has unveiled a new expert-class ultrasound system named HandyUsound.
This device was showcased at the 34th International Public Health Exhibition 2025, where medical professionals gathered to discuss the modernization of healthcare.
HandyUsound is a fully Ukrainian development, created by engineer and CTO Maxim Smolyar of Smart Medical Products.
The ultrasound system weighs only 10 kilograms, making it easy to transport. A key advantage is its ability to operate autonomously for up to eight hours without being connected to a power supply.
The primary goal of creating this product was to provide military medics with a reliable diagnostic tool for use in the most challenging conditions.
As such, the system can be utilized in field conditions, considering the needs of tactical and military medicine. It is designed to function in crisis situations where access to stationary equipment is limited, operates autonomously, and is easy to transport and maintain, as well as resistant to harsh operational conditions.
“HandyUsound is a product created in the realities of war for the genuine needs of military medics and mobile teams. We combined engineering thought with clinical requirements to ensure reliable, autonomous, and quality diagnostics where it is most crucial,” said Maxim Smolyar.
It is important to note that this development will facilitate reliable and autonomous diagnostics in both combat and civilian settings. During the Public Health 2025 exhibition, the device received high praise from experts and civilian diagnostic doctors. The Ukrainian ultrasound system can be beneficial for mobile teams, remote clinics, and regular hospitals.
