In the capital of Ukraine, at the National Guard Medical Center, another unique combined reconstructive procedure was carried out, aimed at restoring the functionality and appearance of the damaged facial areas of a serviceman who sustained a serious injury. This time, specialized medical assistance was provided to a soldier of the Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police «Lut».

The surgery was conducted by a team of doctors from the National Guard Medical Center in collaboration with leading specialists from the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University, specifically Professor Yuriy Chepurny from the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery.

The medical team successfully performed a reconstruction of the alveolar process of the upper jaw using a custom-made titanium implant, osteoplastic material, and the patient’s own bone.

The next step will involve the installation of a customized maxillary prosthesis and preparation for the future placement of dental implants, which will restore the integrity of the dental arch, function, and aesthetic appearance.

The patient is reported to be feeling well, under medical supervision, and preparing for the next stages of reconstructive treatment. The surgery was made possible by a tripartite memorandum of cooperation between the National Guard Medical Center, the charitable organization «Doctors for Heroes», and LLC «IMATEX MEDICAL».
