The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended another FSB agent who was involved in coordinating airstrikes on Kyiv's energy infrastructure and monitoring military movements.
This individual was tasked with gathering and transmitting images, videos, and locations of capital thermal power plants targeted for missile attacks.
Investigations revealed that the agent hails from the Rivne region and caught the attention of the occupiers while seeking «easy earnings» on Telegram channels.
After recruitment, she was dispatched to the Kyiv region, where she traveled around local thermal power stations, documenting their technical condition after regular Russian attacks.
Later, she received another assignment to travel to the Odesa region and then to Chernihiv to monitor the movement of military columns.
To gather intelligence in Odesa, she initially settled in a hotel room with a view of the local railway station, from where she observed the movement of trains with military equipment heading to the front.
Subsequently, she moved to Chernihiv, renting an apartment near a highway, where she installed a remote-access camera for the FSB.
With this video device, the Russian intelligence hoped to track the types and numbers of military vehicles heading to the front lines.
Counterintelligence officers of the SBU detained the agent in Chernihiv, seizing two smartphones, SIM cards, and other evidence of her collaboration with the enemy.
Based on the gathered evidence, investigators charged her under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason in wartime conditions).
The perpetrator is currently in custody without the right to bail, facing life imprisonment with property confiscation.
Comprehensive measures were carried out by SBU employees in Kyiv and in Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Odesa regions under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv regional prosecutor's office.
