The Security Service of Ukraine has arrested an FSB agent in Kyiv, who was acting as a coordinator for missile and drone attacks on the capital. The individual is a 36-year-old employee of a company that installs security and fire alarm systems at critical facilities.
According to the investigation, throughout the autumn of this year, the suspect collected coordinates for potential 'targets' for strikes on behalf of the occupiers.
Additionally, during work trips, the suspect tracked the aftermath of enemy attacks on the city’s energy infrastructure, promptly reporting back to the FSB for the adjustment of further strikes.
Hoping to bypass Ukrainian air defense, the enemy sought information from their accomplice about the location of anti-aircraft missile systems and mobile fire groups.
SBU officers uncovered the agent, documenting his activities and subsequently apprehending him.
The investigation revealed that the suspect caught the attention of the FSB in the spring due to his comments in Telegram channels and VKontakte, where he called for the seizure of Ukraine.
Later, he was recruited remotely, given tasks, and provided with communication channels through anonymous chats and email.
During searches of the suspect's premises, smartphones, flash drives, and 8 Ukrainian SIM cards used for concealment were confiscated.

Investigators informed the agent of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  •  Part 2, Article 111 (treason committed during martial law);
  •  Part 3, Article 436-2 (justification, acknowledgment, or denial of armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants);
  •  Part 2, Article 110 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity).

The perpetrator is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment with property confiscation.
The operation was conducted by SBU employees in Kyiv in collaboration with the Main Investigation Department under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
