In Kyiv, law enforcement apprehended a criminal who threatened a young woman. Thanks to her information, the police were able to quickly locate and arrest him. He could face up to fifteen years in prison.
A report was received on the 102 emergency line from a 23-year-old girl who was attacked in the Darnytsia district. Police promptly arrived at the scene.
It turned out that the attacker had followed the victim as she was walking to work. In a deserted area, he suddenly ambushed her, pressing a gun to her back and demanding money.
With the help of criminal analysts, police managed to identify and arrest the attacker swiftly, who turned out to be a 26-year-old man recently moved to Kyiv. They seized part of the money and a toy gun from him. He had already spent some of the money.
Investigators notified the detainee of the suspicion of robbery committed under martial law. He will remain in custody until the investigation is concluded. The article carries a penalty of up to fifteen years of imprisonment.
