A shooting incident took place on the European Union Avenue in Kyiv, where a 40-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol, opened fire during an altercation with local pedestrians. Two men were injured, one sustaining a leg injury and the other to the abdomen. 
After fleeing the scene, the suspect was quickly identified by law enforcement. Police conducted a search at his residence, recovering the firearm used in the shooting. 
The offender was arrested in accordance with current laws, and the prosecutor’s office has already charged him with a serious public order offense. The penalty for this crime could lead to a prison sentence of up to seven years.
