At the Kyiv detention center, an inmate has been accused of assaulting a staff member. An investigation has been initiated regarding the intentional infliction of bodily harm to a law enforcement officer. The assailant faces up to five years in prison.  
The incident occurred in one of the detention rooms, where an internal service inspector discovered that an inmate was using a mobile phone. During a search, the inmate threatened the officer and attempted to deactivate his body camera. When the officer intervened, he was struck multiple times in the face.
Investigators, under the supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, informed the 37-year-old detainee that an additional charge has been added under part 2 of Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional infliction of minor bodily harm to a law enforcement officer in connection with the performance of his official duties.
