Two men were consuming alcoholic beverages together, leading to a conflict that escalated into a tragic beating. One of them is now suspected of committing a serious crime, which could result in a prison sentence of up to 15 years. 
The Kyiv police received a report that a man's body had been discovered in a green area near a bus station in the Podil district.
A investigative group from the local police department and a forensic expert arrived at the scene. They found the body of a 66-year-old local resident with multiple injuries and determined that a 46-year-old man was involved in the fatal beating.
It was established that during their drinking session, an argument broke out between the men, during which the suspect delivered fatal blows to his companion and then concealed the body under a layer of fallen leaves in the park.
Law enforcement apprehended the offender under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Podil District Prosecutor's Office, informed him of the suspicion under part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional unlawful infliction of death to another person. The sanction for this article provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment.
