Yesterday, information about an incident in the Obolon district of Kyiv surfaced on social media.
Three unknown individuals, while near the synagogue, instigated a conflict with a religious community representative, using irritant gas against him before fleeing the scene.
Law enforcement quickly responded, and through investigative actions, along with criminal analysis specialists, they identified the offenders. It turned out that they were local teenagers aged 15 and 16, students of a city school and college. Currently, investigators and juvenile police officers are engaging with the minors and their parents.
A criminal proceeding has been initiated under part 4 of article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — gross violation of public order with clear disrespect for society.
