The investigative authorities in the capital of Ukraine have submitted a case to court against women who executed over 200 unauthorized entries into state registries, resulting in the input of false data about alleged notarial acts.
In June, working alongside cyber police, investigators uncovered a 39-year-old private notary who, planning to leave the country, did not want to lose income. She transferred her powers to a 45-year-old unemployed friend, granting her access to the notary office and the login and password for entry into state registries for conducting notarial acts in her name.
During the one and a half months the notary was absent from Ukraine, her friend made over 200 unauthorized entries into the registries, during which false data was entered.
The investigation has charged both women under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, including forgery of official documents and organization of unauthorized interference in the operation of information systems, leading to the leak and forgery of information during a state of war.
Currently, investigators have completed the pre-trial investigation and forwarded the case to court. Both women face up to 15 years in prison with a ban on holding certain positions.
