Fortunately, the young boy is safe after the fall.
The child, who fell from the second-floor window, was urgently taken to the hospital with injuries. The incident occurred on July 2 in Hostomel, located in the Bucha district. This was reported by the Kyiv region police.
According to preliminary information, the toddler climbed onto the windowsill, leaned on the mosquito net, and fell. At the time of the incident, his mother was at home but turned away for a few moments. Fortunately, he fell not onto the pavement but onto a metal canopy located directly below the window.
There is no threat to the child's life. Law enforcement from the Bucha district police are investigating the details of the event.
Unfortunately, such incidents are not uncommon. Most accidents involving children occur during the warm months when parents leave windows open. Mosquito nets cannot support the weight of children, and kids often use chairs to climb onto windowsills.
Authorities urge parents not to leave children unsupervised in rooms with open windows and to install safety devices that prevent window openings.
