On December 4, a charity auction took place at the Boris Grinchenko Kyiv University, dedicated to the Armed Forces Day of Ukraine.
The auction showcased unique handmade lots created by students, teachers, and alumni: paintings, photographs, books, handmade dolls, wooden crafts, and printed publications.
Everyone was welcome to purchase their favorite item and contribute to the support of Ukrainian defenders. Representatives from all university departments participated in the event, raising a total of 103,015 UAH.
Acting Rector, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Oleksandr Turuntsev thanked participants for their engagement and emphasized that aiding the military is a vital component of the university's mission.
“We are sincerely grateful to all defenders of Ukraine. Your strength and courage inspire us. You have given us the opportunity to work and study in relative peace, and we will do everything to support your recovery,” said Oleksandr Turuntsev.
During the event, awards were presented to three students for their service to humanity, community, and society, who balance education with military service.
David Vegera, a first-year student of the Physical Therapy and Ergotherapy program, received an award. He serves in the National Guard of Ukraine.
Dmytro Lemskyi, a first-year student of the Physical Education program, also received an award for joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a volunteer from day one of the full-scale invasion.
