Future military officers are learning to produce training munitions and drone components using 3D printing technology. According to the Ministry of Defense, cadets from the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Peter Sahaidachny are printing models of munitions without explosives, which are used during training exercises. They are also creating adapters and other components for UAVs, including mounts and holders.
"This enables the practice of engineering reconnaissance, neutralization of discovered munitions, and remote mining. It enhances the understanding of sapper operations," states the official report.
3D printers facilitate the rapid production of necessary parts and training models, making the preparation more effective.
The ministry believes that these technologies will foster the ability to create innovative technical solutions for modern combat.
Moreover, a new course titled "Basics of Combat Planning" has been launched in the "Army+" app for commanders and military personnel. The program covers an eight-step process from planning to mission execution.
Additionally, training for ground drone operators is also being conducted in private institutions. Seven UAV operator schools have already received certification from the Ministry of Defense, and by the end of the year, the state will fund the training of thousands of military personnel.
