On December 10, 2025, the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (DUKICT) celebrated the grand opening of its innovative training center focused on intelligent security systems.

Journalists from "Mezhi" attended the inauguration of this new educational space, made possible through the collaboration of the university and IQ Trading, one of Ukraine's leading suppliers of high-tech equipment.

According to the university's rector, Volodymyr Shulha, the new laboratory represents a future-oriented educational environment where students can learn using the latest equipment, immersing themselves in real-world security technologies.

Guests were shown the lab equipped with cutting-edge technologies. University representatives shared that the collaboration with IQ Trading involved a complete renovation of the premises, installation of new furniture, lighting, networking equipment, computer technology, and examples of video surveillance and data processing systems. The total investment reached nearly 1.5 million UAH.

In the new laboratory, we saw equipment from global leaders including Axis Communications (Sweden), Suprema, Hanwha Vision (South Korea), Milestone Systems (Denmark), LEGRAND (France), Agent VI, BriefCam, OCTOPUS Systems (Israel), Luxriot (USA), Premium-Line (Germany), Estap (Turkey), Allied Telesis (Japan), Minkels (Netherlands), IncoreSoft, and Odesa Cable (Ukraine).

Vyacheslav Avramenko, Commercial Director of IQ Trading, spoke about the company's collaboration with the university, particularly with the Department of Mobile and Video Information Technologies. He emphasized that this is not just a long-term relationship but a partnership resulting in achievements in education that have produced experienced specialists in telecommunications. The opening of the center marks a new stage in this collaboration.

"We have new plans and projects ahead, and along with them new achievements aimed at the joint development of education and business. Let this laboratory be a place where students become true professionals, capable of solving any problems in the vast field of telecommunications technology," said Avramenko.

Rectory of DUKICT, Volodymyr Shulha, expressed gratitude to the company for its partnership and contribution to preparing a new generation of Ukrainian IT specialists. "I am convinced that our new training center will be a place where high-class specialists are born — professionals who can work with real equipment, make decisions, and implement modern telecom technologies," noted the rector.

From Vyacheslav Avramenko, we learned that IQ Trading has been operating in the Ukrainian market for over 20 years. According to him, the company focuses on supplying the latest equipment for creating integrated security systems, video surveillance, and access control systems.

He believes that the Department of Mobile and Video Information Technologies at DUKICT is unique. "We transfer the latest knowledge from our partners to the specialists of this department, who can turn this knowledge into academic programs and convey it to young people. It is important for students to engage with the latest technologies that can enhance their competitiveness in the market. In the future, we will educate both our specialists and our clients here," Avramenko concluded.

The rector of DUKICT also mentioned that mobile and video information technologies have come to the forefront during the war. "Organizations working in the defense sector require this equipment and technicians who can operate it. Our university is currently receiving inquiries from businesses stating their need for specialists. We are an IT institution, a telecommunications institution. In 2025, we enrolled 168 applicants for our bachelor's program, which is the second highest in Ukraine," reported Volodymyr Shulha.

He added that last year the university also established the Sense Lab experimental research laboratory with the support of the state-owned Sense Bank. Future plans include the opening of innovative learning spaces with Dahua Technology and Huawei, which will assist in launching a cybersecurity lab.

Students were also present at the center's opening. The head of the Student Council of the Telecommunications Educational and Research Institute, Illia Kolodyuk, thanked for the creation of a modern educational space and emphasized the importance of a practically oriented approach in education. He stated that the launch of the training center will allow for the training and graduation of specialists of a completely new level.
