Starting from October 8, students in Ukraine will have free access to Gemini and the AI Pro subscription from Google for one year.

This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, on Telegram.

“Students need modern tools to learn more effectively and develop skills. Google is providing free annual subscriptions to AI Pro for students over 18 years old,” he stated.

Students will gain access to the following services:

  • Gemini 2.5 Pro – a chat tool for assistance with learning materials, allowing users to upload images for real-time explanations;
  • Deep Research – a tool that autonomously analyzes sources and creates structured reports, saving hours on coursework and essays;
  • NotebookLM – a personal assistant for organizing knowledge and notes, now with enhanced audio and video analysis capabilities;
  • Veo 3 – transforms text or images into 8-second videos with sound;
  • Jules – an AI assistant for programming, helping to write, test, and improve code;
  • 2 TB of cloud storage – ample space for all notes, documents, and projects.

To participate in the program, registration on the website is required.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Digital Transformation announced a new phase of cooperation with Google for developing state AI products in Ukraine.
