A new online program titled "Women in Cyber: Skill Development" is being launched in Ukraine, implemented by CDTO Campus, Diia.Business, and Diia.Education with support from the German cybersecurity company Monarch and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This educational program will enable women to gain foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and learn to apply advanced cyber defense skills in their professional careers and everyday life.
"The Women in Cyber program is a vital launchpad for women looking to change their career direction, enhance their digital skills, or gain a deeper understanding of digital risks. During the training, participants will learn from leading experts from the UK, acquiring the knowledge and practical skills necessary for a confident start in one of the most crucial fields of today. We aim to systematically develop the cybersecurity sector in Ukraine, combat gender imbalance in technology, and create real opportunities for education, employment, and growth," said Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Women in Cyber is targeted at professionals seeking to enter the cybersecurity field or gain new knowledge applicable to their current professional activities. The learning content will be accessible to everyone, with no prior experience in cybersecurity required.
During the course, students will familiarize themselves with the main concepts and principles of cybersecurity, learn about the specifics of working in this field from experienced experts, and receive practical advice.
The program will consist of seven lectures covering both basic and practical topics: foundations of cybersecurity; risks and compliance; threat intelligence and resilience during conflict; working with OSINT; the role of women and keys to cyber resilience; personal growth in the cybersecurity field. Additionally, the organizers will address career-related topics and discuss opportunities in cybersecurity.
