The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine plans to implement a concept of collaboration between military units and universities. This initiative will be part of the course "Foundations of National Resistance".

In addition to theoretical training, the course will involve active interaction between the military and students.

This was reported by Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi during an interview on Radio Khartia.

According to the minister, such collaboration will help young people gain new knowledge about national resistance and shape their value outlook.

According to current legislation, basic military training will be introduced in universities starting September 1, which differs from traditional military training.

"When a person is mobilized into the army, they will undergo comprehensive training directly before their integration into combat units," the minister stated.

It is noted that military units located in regions where universities are situated may collaborate, as well as interregional cooperation.

"Not every brigade possesses the necessary organizational level to work with universities. This also touches on ideological aspects and the formation of shared values," added Oksen Lisovyi.

The minister believes that such collaboration will establish a tradition where one military unit supports one or several universities, thus fostering connections and engaging youth in significant events.

"The military honors their fallen and wounded, and this is crucial for involving students in such processes, particularly through memorialization with specific brigades," he emphasized.

This idea was inspired by the tradition of some universities actively supporting brigades that include their graduates or students by organizing various events.
