The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has introduced a new platform for registering in a program that supports Ukrainian children living temporarily abroad. This initiative allows children to study remotely in Ukrainian schools, easing their adaptation to new environments.

On this platform, parents can choose a school that offers the program and submit an application for enrollment.

Steps for Parents:

  • Visit the platform ukrainian.studies.mon.gov.ua
  • Log in via id.gov.ua
  • Create a profile for your child and select a school and class
  • Submit an application for enrollment
  • Wait for a response from the school within 5 days

«Today, over 360,000 children study abroad while continuing their education in Ukrainian schools remotely. Our goal is to ensure that every child, regardless of their location, has access to quality Ukrainian education. The Ukrainian studies component maintains a connection to Ukraine without additional academic burden. This platform is a convenient tool that simplifies the registration process for parents in various countries,» said the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Nadiya Kuzmychova.

What is the program for children?

This program is a shortened educational initiative for Ukrainian students living abroad.

Its advantages include:

  • reduced academic load;
  • the possibility of remote learning;
  • simultaneous attendance at a local school.

What subjects are covered in the program?

  • Ukrainian language
  • Ukrainian literature
  • History of Ukraine
  • Geography of Ukraine
  • Basics of law
  • Defense of Ukraine

Other subjects that the child studies at the local school are credited towards the Ukrainian educational program.

To facilitate this, the Ministry of Education has developed a grading conversion scale for Ukrainian students studying in different countries.

This initiative will help children remain part of the Ukrainian education system, avoiding overload and maintaining a connection to Ukraine.
