Three Ukrainian universities have been included in the latest global university rankings (CWUR, Center for World University Rankings). A total of two thousand universities from around the globe were featured.

This ranking was published on the official CWUR website.

The Ukrainian universities that made the list include:

  • Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (1262nd place);
  • Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (1535th place);
  • Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology (1543rd place).

The top positions in the rankings are held by American universities, with the following leaders:

  • Harvard University at first place;
  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology at second;
  • Stanford University at third.

Also recognized among the best were the prestigious universities of the UK, Cambridge and Oxford, which ranked 4th and 5th respectively.

Since 2012, CWUR has published a unique academic ranking of world universities, evaluating them based on several criteria:

  • quality of education;
  • faculty quality (number of instructors with top academic honors);
  • employment opportunities and professional success of graduates;
  • research output (conducting studies, number of research papers, publications in reputable journals, and citations).

It is worth noting that in 2024, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv made its debut in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities, also known as the Shanghai ranking.
