In 2025, Kyiv is set to allocate 14 billion UAH for the construction, reconstruction, and capital repairs of the city's infrastructure as part of the economic and social development program for 2024-2026. This decision was made by the Kyiv City Council.
According to the Department of Economics and Investments, 4 billion UAH will be directed towards capital investments, while 10 billion UAH will be used for capital repairs.
Next year, funds will be allocated to restore facilities damaged by military aggression and to refurbish housing, including capital repairs, modernization, elevator replacements, accessibility measures, and energy efficiency initiatives, as well as the establishment of civil protection shelters.
Work will also continue on the road network and transportation infrastructure.
Capital expenditures will target the reconstruction of critical infrastructure, whose uninterrupted operation is vital not only for the capital but also for the surrounding region.
A key priority for next year will remain ensuring safe learning environments for students in educational institutions. The program includes the construction of shelters in schools and dual-purpose buildings.
Additionally, next year the city will continue to create and update social support and rehabilitation centers, as well as modernize healthcare facilities.
