The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is set to establish an office in Ukraine, aimed at improving project management for post-war recovery.
This announcement was made by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following a meeting between Deputy Minister Maryana Betza and UNIDO's Senior Coordinator for Ukraine, Stefan Sikars.
"We welcome UNIDO's plans to open an office in Ukraine, which will facilitate effective project management considering the urgent need for post-war economic recovery," emphasized the Deputy Minister.
During the meeting, both parties discussed UNIDO's programming activities in Ukraine and collaboration on upcoming initiatives.
Betza noted the significant expansion of UNIDO projects in recent years. She highlighted the importance of the organization's involvement in the operational rebuilding of damages caused by the war against Ukraine and its support for post-war recovery efforts.
