In 2024, Ukraine's total debt to the World Bank group surged by 65%, reaching 22.6 billion dollars.

This information was reported by Forbes Ukraine, citing data from the Ministry of Finance.

The share of the World Bank in the overall state debt has risen to 14%, accounting for 19% among external creditors.

The rapid increase in Ukraine's debt to the World Bank is attributed to many international partners channeling funding through the institution's funds.

The total debt to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) increased by 15%, amounting to 18.9 billion dollars.

Moreover, Ukraine's debt to the European Union rose by 34% in 2024, reaching 44 billion dollars, which constitutes 34% of the total state debt.

As of November 30, 2024, Ukraine's state and guaranteed debt amounted to 6,644.68 billion UAH, or 159.74 billion dollars.

Throughout 2024, the state and guaranteed debt increased by 1,461.3 billion UAH, equivalent to approximately 20.74 billion dollars.
