On the night of February 12, Kyiv was once again targeted by missile strikes. The attack resulted in casualties and injuries, as well as numerous fires in various parts of the city, as reported by the State Emergency Service and President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Kyiv Under Fire: Current Update

According to the State Emergency Service, missile fragments fell in four districts of the capital.

In the Obolon district, one person died, and three were injured, including a child. A fire broke out in an office building. In Holosiivskyi, a large fire occurred in a warehouse.

In the Solomianskyi district, a fire was reported on the roof of a high-rise building, while in Sviatoshynskyi, debris fell without causing injuries.

More than 80 rescuers and 17 units of special equipment were involved in addressing the aftermath of the attack.

This is the second missile attack on Kyiv in recent days, with the previous one occurring on the night of February 10.

The President of Ukraine emphasized that the terror from Russia will not cease on its own.

“Putin is not preparing for peace – he continues to kill Ukrainians and destroy cities. Only strong actions and pressure on Russia can stop this terror. We need unity and support from all our partners now in our fight for a just end to this war,” the Ukrainian leader stressed.

As a result of the Russian missile strike, offices of Ukrainian international broadcasting channels “FreeDom” and “Dim” were damaged, according to Detector Media.

Offices of international broadcasting editorial teams, including UATV English and UATV Español, were also damaged. Staff were unharmed, and the channel is broadcasting from a backup studio.
