A chess tournament was held at the Kyiv railway station as part of a cultural initiative, allowing attendees to play against international master Serhiy Pavlov.
Over 20 participants, including both adults and children, took part in this engaging event, as reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
Serhiy played simultaneously against several opponents, with only one player, Alexandra Udod, managing to defeat the esteemed competitor, impressing everyone with her confident performance.
This event was organized by Ukrzaliznytsia in collaboration with the Ukrainian Chess Federation to promote chess among travelers and to remind them that railways are not only about travel but also cultural initiatives.
Spectators applauded the participants and the master, and Ukrzaliznytsia presented memorable gifts.
Plans for future competitions of this kind are already in place.
