On Prorezna Street in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, there is a proposal to name the unnamed square 'Musical'. This initiative aims to preserve historical heritage and promote the city's musical culture. This was announced by the Kyiv City Council.

The initiative has been supported by the permanent commission of the Kyiv Council on culture, tourism, and public communications. The head of the commission, Deputy Victoria Mukha, stated that last year the charitable foundation 'Mission of Intellectual Initiatives' approached Mayor Vitali Klitschko with a suggestion to name the square.

After approval by the Naming Commission, the draft decision will be put to public discussion and electronic voting through the 'Kyiv Digital' app.

Victoria Mukha emphasized that Prorezna Street has always been a cultural landmark of the city, housing the philharmonic, music salons, and educational institutions. She added that it is important to preserve symbols that affirm Kyiv's cultural identity, especially in the year when the city officially applied for the status of UNESCO City of Music.
