The exhibition reveals the cultural journey of the Hanenko family and the formation of their remarkable library.

From June 26 to September 14, the Hanenko Museum will host the exhibition "Art and Heritage." Unique exhibits from the family's library will be showcased here.

According to the exhibition curator, all materials were collected from family archives, and the search took over two years. The creation of the exhibition required an additional two weeks.

Many visitors ask: "Why 'Art and Heritage'?" The answer lies in the patrons' archives, where books on art began to be marked as "7," which inspired the title.

*The UDC system is a universal classification for organizing literature. It is through this system that works of art received the designation "7."

The Hanenko archives hold a wealth of art, from Varvara's poetic sketches to Van Gogh's paintings.

"I visited the Hanenko Museum on Open Doors Day — it was a wonderful opportunity to explore new exhibitions. The display on the Hanenko family library was particularly impressive — engaging and atmospheric. The museum showcases a high level of organization and love for art," shared visitor Elizabeth.

At the exhibition, you will find four halls featuring collections of books and documents illustrating the library's development.

In the second hall, you will see the evolution of the library and the impact of the socialist regime, including communist propaganda.

The next hall will feature the "thaw" — a period of friendship with various countries and artworks from renowned artists.

The final hall focuses on collections of foreign art from China, Greece, and Rome.

"The exhibition impressed with its collection of world art. I especially appreciated the exhibits showcasing the richness of cultural traditions," noted visitor Victoria.

On Saturdays and Sundays, visitors can join guided tours that provide insights into the exhibition's creation process and the library's history.
