Direct quote from the minister: "This night, the State Emergency Service extinguished around 40 fire outbreaks in 9 regions. Under the massive combined strike from Russia, Kyiv and its region, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia were affected."

Kyiv suffered the most: rescuers worked at 13 locations... As of 7:30 AM, 9 fatalities were recorded in Kyiv due to the Russian strike, with over 70 others injured.

Details: According to Klymenko, firefighting efforts were conducted under the threat of repeated attacks.

"In Zhytomyr, the enemy launched a subsequent strike on the SES unit that was fighting the fire. A 39-year-old rescuer was injured," Klymenko concluded.

  • During the night of April 24, Ukraine was under a massive combined attack from Russia. Air defense systems were in operation.
  • As of 6 AM, 9 fatalities and 63 injuries were reported in the capital, including 6 children and a pregnant woman. Civil infrastructure was also hit.
