In response to the horrific missile strike on Kryvyi Rih, which resulted in the death of at least 20 people, Ukraine has initiated an urgent gathering of the UN Security Council and the Permanent Council of the OSCE.

This was reported by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, noting that the meetings are scheduled for April 8.

The UN and OSCE sessions were called due to the attack on Kryvyi Rih.

According to the Foreign Minister, the main aim of the gathering is to "draw attention to Russia's crimes", support peace initiatives, and hold the perpetrators accountable.

Ukraine expects a "strong condemnation" and "active actions" from the international community.

"Russia must stop terror against Ukrainian children and civilians, respond to the US proposal for a complete ceasefire, which Ukraine has accepted, and end the war," emphasized Sybiha.

Details of the missile strike in Kryvyi Rih:

On April 4, the Russian Federation launched a ballistic missile "Iskander-M" with a cluster munitions warhead at a residential area in Kryvyi Rih, resulting in 20 fatalities, including nine children.

Over 70 individuals were injured.

The Russians targeted the center of the residential neighborhood, near a children's playground.

The Russian Ministry of Defense cynically commented on the strike in Kryvyi Rih.

They claimed that the Russians "struck a meeting place with commanders and Western instructors" at a restaurant. The Russian agency also asserts that "losses amounted to up to 85 military personnel and officers from foreign nations, as well as 20 units of automotive equipment".
